Verification dates on the stream - 23rd Oct??

I’ve seen the two posts this morning about the verification dates appearing on the stream on the 23rd October, 7 days time.

We still have not been provided with the final schemas for this (or any way to test this) you seriously can’t expect that software vendors can be ready to read and use these dates by the 23rd October - 5 working days and no published final schema!

How long will the timepoint where these dates start being published be available for? We need a commitment from Companies House on this for these new dates.

Once these are no longer obtainable on the stream they are only retrievable on the REST APIs which have a tiny call limit.

I can confirm:

Please note Removal of officer 'occupation' - for information is for information only, it is currently an optional data item in the officer resources and will still be used as detailed.

Thanks for this.

I note in the live schemas there is another change from what we had been told. In the post here ('Officers' and ‘Persons with significant control’ resource specification update) the new section in the json was labelled:

identity_verification_details

but in the published schemas it is now

identityVerificationDetails

I assume the published version is the correct value?

Sorry another difference, in the original post this was detailed as being added to the following APIs

Note that ‘PSC list’ was not mentioned as one of those places. However it looks like it is now in there (Companies House Public Data API: list)

Can you confirm that this is correct (i.e. it will be added to the PSC ‘list’ resource) and will be populated with the dates too on the 23rd October?

Please accept our sincerest apologies. The object name should be …

identity_verification_details

… as per my original guidance. The published version will be amended a.s.a.p.

Yes, Companies House Public Data API: list will also include identity verification details and that end point will also be populated with them.

Regarding the initial load of dates:

  • It is estimated to take approximately 10 days to complete

  • For relevant ‘persons with significant control’ you can expect:

     "appointment_verification_statement_date"
     "appointment_verification_statement_due_on"

  • For relevant ‘officers’ you can expect:

     "appointment_verification_statement_due_on"

Thanks for that.

When on the 23rd can we expect to start receiving the dates on the stream? If you can’t give a time it would be useful to know if it is intended to be in the middle of the night, or in usual working hours?

You’re welcome.
23rd October will be the earliest we can start streaming the dates but this could slip depending on the progress of final in-flight development & testing. The intention is to feed the events in to the normal flow of messages without impacting the live public services or our own internal processes, therefore we will need to ‘monitor’ performance and ‘react’ accordingly. As such it is difficult to predict when the events will be streamed e.g. we may chose not to stream during the night or at the weekend etc. but that is by no means a given.
For information his exercise will generate approximately 8.7 million officer and 6.1 million persons with significant control stream events.

We need to check things once it starts, so is it possible to give us a little notice of when we should see the first dates on the stream, i.e. just post here an hour or two before they should start coming through?

Yes, I should be able to do that. Is now looking very much like next week.
