Slow responses from API

Hi all,

We’ve been integrating your Companies House API into our application, and overall, we’ve found it incredibly useful.

However, we’ve noticed that response times can sometimes be quite slow, occasionally taking over 15–20 seconds. We would like to understand if this is expected behavior or something unusual from your perspective. I am aware of the rate limiting in place but we are not close to that yet.

Do you have any kind of insight as to why this might be happening and if there is anything we can do to stop this?

Good afternoon Rajeev, unfortunately - being free of charge to develop and use, the service is incredibly popular and usage increases further every day. At times therefore our capacity is compromised by the sheer amount of requests being made. I can only assume this could be the reason. Please let me know if the issue persists though.
