Historic Companies (Dissolved) and Officers

Hi,

How would I go about getting information on historic companies (dissolved) and officers? This is for research purposes. I see the API only returns recently dissolved. Is there a bulk data available on this?

The search now returns companies up to six years old. When you say officers, I assume you mean the officers for older dissolved companies and not that you want to search for older officers? Officer data for the six years worth of dissolved companies is available.

However, if you specifically require dissolved (or otherwise non-active) companies, then you will have to take bulk data, as that level of filtering has not yet been implemented on the API, as it is rarely required.

Hello

I have a near-complete mirror (>99.5%) of every digitized company filing and am open to acting as a private broker to this data.

I obtained this by exhaustively scraping the complete filing history for every company in 2015, shortly after the beta service was launched, and critically, before the retention period for defunct entities was reduced from 20 years to 6.

Given that CH plans to destroy all records concerning companies dissolved more than 6 years ago, I might soon become the only person in the world in possession of these millions of documents.

To be clear we have only removed access to the records from the service whilst discussions are underway.

Nothing will be done about the destruction of dissolved company records until the new Government carefully considers its options, before deciding on the appropriate way forward.

I am assuming the historic company data of 20 years remains on the CH database? Can this be downloaded as part of bulk data?

I have spoken to someone from Bulk data department and they have informed me only the active companies are available as bulk data? How would we go about receiving the entire bulk collection including current/dissolved?

I am happy to pay a fee for this.
