Officer Occupation is Missing

I work for a company that regularly uses the Companies House Public Data API to look up company and officer information.

We have noticed that previously we would be receiving Occupation data for Officers as part of an officerList Resource object when doing a get call to the API. However, since November 26, 2025 we don’t appear be receiving that information anymore for anyone.

Did a change occur within the officer data collection or API such that we should expect to no longer receive that type of information?
Are there other similar changes in the data return that we should be aware of?

From 18th November 2025 the requirement for company officers to provide Companies House with a business occupation will be removed and there will be no mechanism for an individual to update their occupation on the register. We have therefore taken the decision to remove officer ‘occupation’ from the REST API response and Streaming API event messages from 23rd October 2025.

We find it very useful to keep a watch on the XML Forum - it can minimise surprises with the Rest API and streams!
