Feasibility Study: Automated Screening for Tax and Insolvency Records

Hi Team,

We are currently in the process of exploring an automated approach to assess the financial standing of individuals during the loan evaluation process. Specifically, we aim to determine whether an individual appears on official lists of:

  • Tax defaulters

  • Persons declared insolvent or bankrupt

As part of this initiative, we are evaluating potential solutions that can integrate with our existing systems. The objective is to integrate this capability into our existing system in order to streamline due diligence checks, reduce manual effort, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Could you please advise on the following:

  1. Does these API provide access to tax defaulter lists and records of individuals declared insolvent or bankrupt?

Your insights will be valuable in helping us define the approach and ensure it aligns with industry standards

Good afternoon,

Everything we offer at Companies House is governed by the Companies Act, and the filing requirements it asks of companies / officers. Nothing contained therein refers to tax disclosures - you will need to contact HMRC to see if they can help.

We do have a disqualified officers bulk product though - please email bulkproducts@companieshouse.gov.uk and ask for details.
