I have a couple of questions I was hoping you could help with:

  1. Application Limits: How many live applications can we create and maintain under a single developer account?

  2. Enterprise Authentication: Is there a scalable or enterprise-grade approach to API authentication (beyond the standard API key per application)?

Any guidance you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Companies House does not encourage mass use of API keys - the rate limits are in place to ensure the stability and reliability of the platform. The rate limits should be built into your application as returning errors is a huge overhead on the service, and our Support Teams will manually ban IPs that are constantly bombarding the service causing degradation for all users.
