Sandbox Get Company returns 204 No Content

Godd day,

Recently, in our testing environments, we have noticed that after successfully creating a test company in the sandbox (POST https://test-data-sandbox.company-information.service.gov.uk/test-data/company).
We are no longer able to retrieve the the company using (GET https://api-sandbox.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/{{company_number}}. The API always returns a 204 No Content response

Has something changed?

We are also facing the same issue and this is causing huge problems with our product development.
The other APIs like company/{{companyNumber}}/officers are however working for the same company numbers.

Please note Mark Williams has retired from Companies House.

Can I please clarify if all who have commented on this could clarifty what they are using the sandbox for?.

Its only designed for API filing and there are very few filing options currently available.

We’re in the process of automating some business process around companies house data checking by utilising the Companies House API(s).

We were hoping to use it to create test companies for our own test/uat environments, to retrieve test data for the different endpoints, so that we can test the automation and business verification on our calling system. However, as you’ve pointed out the sandbox is limited for such testing purposes.

We had hoped originally to have offered more filing options by now (it is still our intention to make this our principal filing platform eventually) but the vast amount of work required to equip Companies House with its substantial new powers means that we are very limited currently on resource and will be for some time to come.
