PSC Director and PSC LLP Member - filing windows

Good morning and congratulations on the launch! We look forward to testing some filings in live.

One significant concern we have is that we are still seeing lots of cases where:

  • a PSC is also a Director or LLP member in the same company
  • their identity verification deadline should therefore align (ie by reference to the confirmation statement due date)
  • …but they do not.

For example:

  • X is a director and PSC or a company whose CS due date is 03/04/2026
  • X’s birth month is January
  • X’s director ID verification date is, correctly, showing as 03/04/2026
  • But X’s PSC ID verification date is showing by reference to their birth month, not the CS due date.

It appears that CH has not been able to identify that the director and PSC are the same person, therefore the PSC filing window dates are, as we understand the regulations, incorrect. We are getting the same information in the API data.

We have seen cases where the dates have aligned correctly, but lots where it has not.

Please advise urgently if this is something that will be corrected. If not what should we be advising customers to use as the PSC filing window?

  1. Should they use the (incorrect) dates as per the CH API?
  2. Or should they try work out their own filing windows by reference to the what the regulations say?

Don’t suppose you’re in a position to share the regno for one of these (either here or by DM). We haven’t encountered any yet, but definitely something I’m on the lookout for now and wouldn’t mind seeing the actual returned JSON so I know what to expect!

Of one where the dates don’t match (because the director and PSC have not been connected by CH), or one where they do (because they have been connected)?

Where they don’t match, all of ours so far are connected. Just saves me hitting random Regno’s until I find one :smiley:

Any update on this please @companieshouseapi or anyone else from CH? You are telling PSCs their filing deadlines are not what they are according to the regulations and your own guidance.

We are also now seeing a number of directors in the public register whos ID filing deadlines are (incorrectly) showing as 18 November 2025!

Please can we have an update on this?

We also have the same thing i.r.o. Directors/LLP members with due dates on the 18th Nov 2025, PSC dates seem to be ok.

But note that most of these are for companies with overdue confirmation statements, so that might be how Companies House have decided to set their dates as they will need to file the personal code on the next confirmation statement they file, which should be now, as it is already overdue.

We’re seeing 18 Nov 2025 for companies with CS01s that are not overdue, and not due, in fact, for a few months!
