Company advanced search not working when company_status=registered

I’ve encountered an issue with the advanced search functionality on the platform as below:

Description: while I am performing a companies house search using the company name ““British””. The search returns multiple company statuses, such as active, dissolved, liquidation, and registered etc.,

Current Process: We are currently using the companies House Name API with the company_status filter set to “registered.” However, no data is being returned when using this filter. when I try other statuses(e.g., active, dissolved), the API responds as expected.

Issue: When filtering with Company_status: ‘registered’, the API returns the following Error: " Error attempting to map request parameter values, please check the values of fields ‘company_status’ or ‘company_type’ or ‘company_subtype’ contain accurate values."

Please let me know if you require any additional details or if there’s anything I can do to assist in troubleshooting this matter.

Thank you and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Pav

I am not sure exactly what this status means myself. However I don’t think that this is one of the standard company status values you can search on. At least - it’s not listed in the website Advanced Search endpoint.

Presumably it and the “removed” status are more for “internal” use by Companies House? Maybe the fact that you can’t find any could be because there generally are none exposed via the external API?

What were you hoping to find by searching for companies in this status (e.g. what do you think it indicates)?

We understand Registered status is for those entities that are not incorporated but need, or choose in some cases, to register with Companies House.
