- Product 201 - mortgage/charges daily updates
- Product 197 - liquidation daily updates
What we use it for
We build and operate data services around company registry information. The main uses for this data are:
- Sanctions and adverse-media screening - matching company officers and controlling persons against sanctions lists, which requires knowing who is (and historically was) associated with an entity, not only the current officers.
- Verifying that a user is entitled to act for a company - when someone claims control of a company profile in our systems, we check the claim against the officer and PSC records rather than taking it at face value.
- Risk assessment - disqualification history, outstanding charges and liquidation status are the signals we surface for counterparty due diligence.
We already consume the free public products (company snapshot, PSC snapshot and the accounts data), plus the REST API and the streaming API for officers and PSC. The gap is historical and bulk officer data: retrieving officers for the full register over REST at the standard rate limit would take several months, and the streaming API only provides changes from the point we connect onwards, with no history.
