built a free UK company checker that turns Companies House data into a plain-English verdict — would love your honest feedback

Hi all — I’m the builder, so full disclosure upfront.

Like many of you, I’ve spent too long piecing together Companies House pages trying to answer one simple question: can I trust this company? Raw filings tell you what happened, but not what it means.

So I built companysearcher.co.uk. You search any UK company (all 5.7M are in there) and get a one-glance verdict — risk grade, red flags like overdue filings or frequent address changes, financial trends parsed from their actual accounts, directors and their track records, and the full filing timeline.

It’s free to search, no signup needed. Try a supplier, a client, your competitor, or your own company.

What I’d genuinely love feedback on:

  1. Search for a company you actually know — does the verdict match reality? (This is the one I care about most. If we call a solid company “high risk” or vice versa, I want to know.)

  2. Is anything confusing or missing on the company page?

  3. What would make you come back and use it regularly?

I’ll be in the comments answering everything, including the harsh stuff. Tear it apart.

Looked enticing until I got to CompanySearcher is operated by CompanySearcher Ltd, a UK company in your Privacy Policy but I cannot get CHS searches to deliver any answers. Is there a **Simple. Honest ** (your words) reason?
