All distinct company_number

Is it possible to obtain in a dataset -or by other mean- the distinct company numbers available whatever the company state (active or other)?
Does this number exactly follow the CRN number pattern? (https://www.rapidformations.co.uk/blog/what-is-a-company-registration-number/)

We are looking to provide streaming API’s in the future, one of which will almost certainly be a feed of incorporations as they occur. This will allow customers the ability to subscribe to the stream and retrieve new company numbers as they are incorporated to the register. As part of this we are also determining the best way to provide the historical data that makes up the register to the point we begin the stream.

In the mean time we provide a monthly snapshot of company data that could be used to retrieve live company numbers. For further information please see:
