# The API is non-responsive

To reproduce the problem: search in [https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/](https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/) - see its non-responsive.

This problem also happens when I call the API using curl, and with `python requests`.

This problem prevents our company enrollment from working on [https://find-a-buyer.export.great.gov.uk](https://find-a-buyer.export.great.gov.uk)

We are also seeing the same issue, with the API working only intermittently.

There was a search issue on our site today between 11:20 and 12:10.  
Companies House apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks for the update.

Is there a status page we can view for if the re-occurs? It will help debugging to identify if the fault lies with the CH API or our consuming app.

This was specifically the search service affected and although we do not currently have a service status page, you can just go to [https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/search?q=search](https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/search?q=search) in a browser and see if you get results back.
