Hi,

Since 11:55am today (19/08/26) we are consistently unable to complete registered email address filings: closing the transaction returns HTTP 500 with an empty response body.

The filing sequence we use, and what we observe:

1. `POST https://api.company-information.service.gov.uk/transactions` body: `{"company_number":"<NUMBER>","description":"Transaction for <NUMBER>"}` → **201 Created** , transaction id returned
2. `POST https://api.company-information.service.gov.uk/transactions/{transaction_id}/registered-email-address` body: `{"registered_email_address":"<EMAIL>","accept_appropriate_email_address_statement":true}` → **201 Created**
3. `PUT https://api.company-information.service.gov.uk/transactions/{transaction_id}` body: `{"status":"closed"}`, `Content-Type: application/json` → **500 Internal Server Error** , response body empty

The access token is a valid user-authorised OAuth2 token with the `https://api.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/{company_number}/registered-email-address.update` scope (we refresh successfully immediately before the filing, and steps 1 and 2 are accepted with the same token).

We see the same behaviour in the sandbox environment (`https://api-sandbox.company-information.service.gov.uk`) with a sandbox test company, so it does not appear to be data-specific.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Many thanks

Peter
