Hi,

At present I’ve looked into using the ‘GET [https://api.companieshouse.gov.uk/search/officers](https://api.companieshouse.gov.uk/search/officers)’ part of the API, is it possible and just not documented yet to supply the Month/Year parts of date of birth?

If not can you give any guidance on when it may become available?

The reason is with several tests we’ve found cases of a single person described with different addresses so that doesn’t pin down all the companies with the single real individual and sometimes the name is just the first and last, other filings have the middle.

So apart from twins born in the same month/year and named the same the Month/Year data would pin down the name with a high degree of confidence for any post processing.

Presently one of our tests returned 24k results which is waste of effort your end and impossible for us to post process at 100 paginated results at a time.

Trevor

Hi Mark, what is the correct manner to past the month/year into the ‘q’ of the query string to bring back matching results?

That is my objective, I’m not interesting in results that do not contain this information, as I need as small a result set as possible.

Sorry, I mis-understood your question.
You cannot currently search/query officers on data of birth.
This is planned for the advanced search.
Unfortunately I cannot provide a date for this work as is has not been scheduled.

Ok, thanks for the reply - I don’t think my client will want to use this feature until it is possible, as too many results are returned at present.
